The first in our blog series called – What can I give?
“Each one should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not out of regret or compulsion. For God loves a cheerful giver.” (2 Corinthians 9:7)
The words “Besom” and ” hampers” can usually be found with the word “Christmas”.
But actually, Besom hampers can be packed full of different things all year round. Recently we were really blessed to receive a wonderful new home hamper. Some givers had saved their Nectar points for an entire year and then spent them on someone in need. The hamper included new towels, a toilet brush, washing up liquid, tea towels and utensils. It went to a homeless family moving into some permanent accommodation, a truly wonderful way to bless them.
Bundles of Joy, our sister project, help people give baby things to parents in need. These often go out in the form of bundles, made in a baby bath or Moses basket. Bundles of Joy also help people give bigger items for families too, such as cots, highchairs, baby carriers and prams.
If you are interested in giving a hamper, of any kind, please do get in touch with us. We love helping people give to those in need and giving a hamper is a wonderful way to do just that.
